Add DisplaySpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleAt CES 2026, LG Electronics reintroduced one of its most recognizable designs and pushed OLED technology into new territory, unveiling the LG OLED evo W6 True Wireless Wallpaper TV and a full 2026 OLED evo series built around what the company calls Hyper Radiant Color Technology. Marking 13 consecutive years of OLED leadership, LG positioned the W6 as both a design statement and a technical showcase, marrying an ultra-thin profile with advanced wireless and AI-driven picture processing. The LG W6 series comprises two models:
- LG OLED83W6
- LG OLED77W6
Central to LG's pitch is the new Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 panel, an advanced version of LG Display's proprietary Primary RGB Tandem technology, which generates light by stacking the three primary colors of light (red, green, and blue) in independent layers. By incorporating an even more refined pixel structure and advanced algorithms, it maximizes light efficiency. As a result, the new OLED TV panel achieves a peak brightness of up to 4500 nits. It also incorporates advanced light-absorption and diffusion technology to minimize reflections, delivering the lowest reflection rate among existing displays of just 0.3%.
Another pinnacle is LG's Hyper Radiant Color Technology, a suite of improvements aimed at boosting brightness, deepening blacks, and reducing reflections. The Wallpaper TV is powered by Brightness Booster Ultra, which LG says enables luminance levels up to 3.9 times higher than conventional OLEDs, while a specially engineered screen minimizes reflectance. The company highlighted industry recognition for the panel’s low reflectance and emphasized that the combination of increased brightness and reduced glare preserves the "Perfect Blacks" and "Perfect Colors" that have become synonymous with LG's OLED line.
Driving the new visual features is the α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3, which LG says includes a Neural Processing Unit with substantially greater computing power. That boost enables a Dual AI Engine that runs parallel algorithms to denoise and preserve natural texture simultaneously, a design intended to avoid the over-sharpening trade-offs common in earlier processing approaches. The result, LG claims, is a more balanced image that retains fine detail while suppressing unwanted noise.
Beyond picture quality, LG showcased software and services designed to make the TV a more flexible element of the home. LG Gallery+ turns the screen into a customizable interior feature with more than 4500 visuals, support for personal photo collections and generative AI–created images, and mood-matching background music. The service is available across the 2026 OLED lineup and is pitched as a way for consumers to tailor the atmosphere of a room without sacrificing the TV's primary role as an entertainment display.
Gaming features remain a priority for LG, with the Wallpaper TV and other 2026 OLED evo models supporting 4K at 165Hz, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium. With a 0.1ms pixel response time and Auto Low Latency Mode, LG emphasized responsiveness and tear-free performance for competitive and immersive play.
LG also doubled down on personalization and security. The latest webOS update introduces Voice ID, which recognizes who is speaking and automatically switches to a personalized My Page home screen with tailored widgets and apps. Multi-AI integration brings Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot into the TV experience, enabling conversational queries and contextual assistance. An upgraded AI Concierge and a new "In This Scene" feature let viewers pull up cast details, related content and even generate images with AI while watching, all accessible via voice or the Magic Remote. LG Shield, the company's security layer and a CES 2026 Innovation Award winner, was presented as the safeguard for these personalized services, protecting user data with advanced encryption and security measures.
