The G6 debuts LG's enhanced Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 system, an evolution of the company's stacked‑RGB architecture in which red, green, and blue emitters operate in separate layers to boost efficiency and color accuracy. With a more advanced pixel structure and refined control algorithms, the new panel pushes light output dramatically higher, reaching up to 4500 nits of peak brightness while maintaining exceptional energy efficiency. LG pairs this with upgraded light‑absorption and diffusion materials that cut reflections to an industry‑leading 0.3%, making the screen far more resilient in bright rooms.
Complementing the hardware, LG's Hyper Radiant Color Technology further elevates luminance, deepens black levels, and reduces glare. The set also incorporates Brightness Booster Ultra, which LG says delivers nearly four times the brightness of conventional OLED panels, while a specially engineered surface keeps reflections to a minimum. Together, these advancements allow the G6 to preserve the signature "Perfect Blacks" and "Perfect Colors" of LG OLEDs even as overall brightness and real‑world visibility take a major leap forward.
Driving LG's new visual upgrades is the α11 AI Processor Gen3, which incorporates a far more powerful Neural Processing Unit capable of running dual AI pipelines at once. This parallel approach allows the processor to clean up noise and preserve natural textures simultaneously, avoiding the over‑sharpened, artificial look that earlier processing methods sometimes produced. LG says this results in a more refined, balanced image where fine detail is maintained without amplifying visual artifacts.
Beyond pure picture performance, LG is positioning the TV as a more adaptive part of the home environment. LG Gallery+ transforms the display into a customizable art and ambience platform, offering more than 4500 curated visuals, support for personal photo libraries, generative‑AI artwork, and background audio that matches the mood. Available across the 2026 OLED lineup, it's designed to let the TV shift seamlessly between décor and entertainment.
Gaming capabilities also receive a significant boost. The Wallpaper TV and other 2026 OLED evo models support 4K at 165Hz (except for the 120Hz 97" model), along with NVIDIA G‑Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium, ensuring smooth, tear‑free motion. With a 0.1ms response time and Auto Low Latency Mode, LG emphasizes competitive responsiveness and fluidity for both fast‑paced and cinematic gameplay.
Personalization and security round out the upgrades. The latest webOS introduces Voice ID, which recognizes individual users and automatically loads a personalized home screen with tailored apps and widgets.
