Add DisplaySpecifications as a preferred source on GooglePhilips 27M2N5500XD from the Evnia series and AOC AGON Pro AGP277QK were officially presented last night in China. These are the world's first true 1000Hz dual-mode gaming monitors. Obviously, the two sister brands, both operating under TPVision, are using the same display panel for their respective models. The event was humbly mentioned on the Evnia APAC Instagram page.
This is a 27-inch display panel with a QHD resolution and a 500Hz. It also supports dual mode with a quick switch to HD resolution and a 1000Hz refresh rate. The screen has a static contrast ratio of 2000:1 and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified with Wide Color Gamut support. As for gaming, the monitors support 1 ms GTG response time and Low Input Lag, along with all typical Philips Evnia and AOC AGON Pro gaming features. For sure, the Philips 27M2N5500XD is fitted with a Smart ErgoBase enabling full ergonomics. Most likely, the AOC AGON Pro AGP277QK will also offer a 4-way adjustable stand.
The Philips 27M2N5500XD was mentioned for the first time at the WePlay Culture Expo 2025, which was held on November 22-23, at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in China. This monitor was a part of a broader exhibition of Philips Evnia's high-end gaming displays that blend extreme refresh rate performance with AI enhancements and eye-health technologies. For the 27M2N5500XD in particular, back then, Philips said that it integrates AI light synchronization technology alongside the latest Philips ComfortView 4.0 technology, found on some of this year's gaming monitors by the brand.
There's no information on the official market launch with full specifications, but we guess this will happen in a month or so.
