This is a gaming monitor with a 26.5-inch QD-OLED display panel, sporting a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 px) and a native 10-bit color bit depth. The display has 133% sRGB color volume, 94% Adobe RGB and 95% DCI-P3 color space coverage. It has a typical SDR brightness of 300 nits and a peak HDR brightness at 3% APL of 1000 nits with VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification. The display panel is of the RGB Q-Stripe type referenced several times by Philips for its Evnia QD-OLED gaming monitors. This refers to the sub-pixel architecture of the display panel in which the sub-pixels form a triangular shape.
The Philips 27M2N8500X has a refresh rate of 500 Hz with Adaptive-Sync technology. It occupies a white body with a 3-sided Ambiglow on the rear shell. The ergonomic stand enables up to 130 mm of height adjustment, +/-30 degrees of swivel, and -5 to 20 degrees of tilt adjustment. The connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 2.1 input, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B upstream port, and a headphone jack.
