Panasonic showcases the EZ1000 at CES 2017 in Las VegasAs part of the CES 2017 in Las Vegas Panasonic introduced its second generation of OLED TVs in the form of the 65-inch EZ1000. According to the information in the press release, this "the world's first 1 HDR-capable, Ultra HD OLED TV, which also supports professional grade image processing." At the core of this sits the Master HDR OLED panel of the TV, which is capable of outputting peak brightness that is twice as high as the one of a conventional OLED panel. It also covers almost the entire DCI colour space, which is crucial for truly accurate HDR content. The panel is coupled with an Absolute Black Filter that engulfs reflections and ambient light, so blacks are truly black. Furthermore, the EZ1000 is powered by Panasonics most potent video processor - the Studio Colour HCX2. The Delta Zero accuracy uses 3D look-up tables to deliver some of the most accurate colors on TVs. The processor is also responsible for improving detail in bear-black picture areas. The manufacturer also intends to continue its collaboration with Mike Sowa - a Hollywood colourist, who will help to fine-tune the colors of the TV so they can reproduce most accurately the film creators' intentions. In case you tech savvy, you will also be able to upload to the EZ1000 your own colour 3D look-up tables by SD/USB memory. The TV has Imaging Science Foundation (isf) calibration settings and is compatible with the Portrait Displays CalMAN calibration system. Currently the model is pending various certifications. It support HDR10 and the new Hybrid Log Gamma HDR format - this means that it will be compatible with the new HDR services that are about to be launched later this year. Finally, there is a 80W Dynamic Blade Speaker tuned by Technics. This is actually a whole audio system with a slim design that contains 14 multiple speaker units - 8 woofers, 4 squawkers and 2 tweeters, plus a quad passive radiator to boost bass. The TV is based on Panasonic's My Home Screen 2.0 OS. Panasonic EZ1000 will go on sale in June 2017 in Europe.
