CUVA has released the HDR Vivid standard specifications and is now open for certification applicationsThe China Ultra HD Video Industry Alliance a.k.a. CUVA has released the official specification documents for its HDR Vivid standard and can now begin receiving applications for certification. In general, the HDR Vivid technology allows different displays to present the best picture quality through intelligent calculation. Compared with the traditional SDR (standard dynamic range), HDR Vivid offers 40 times higher brightness. At the end of January, Tencent Video was the first to launch HDR Vivid content. The CUVA was established in 2018 to focus on promoting the development of China's ultra HD video industry.
