TCL launches the 4K QLED X81 TV series with the TCL 65X815 and the TCL 55X815TCL has launched a duo of TV models from its 4K QLED X81 TV series. This series will currently be available only in Europe and pricing will be announced in the upcoming days. It consists of two models - a 55-inch and a 65-inch one. Let's start with the TCL X81 series specifications.

The TCL 65X815 is equipped with a QLED panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. It supports 20-bit colour and has a Direct LED backlight with Dimming Ultra Pro tech. The peak brightness is specified as being 500 cd/m². The PPI (frame interpolation index) is 2600. The model supports HDR10/HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision. It also adopts plenty of image-improving features such as IPQ Engine 2.0, Noise Reduction, UHD Premium Color Extender, UHD Upscaling, Wide Color Gamut.

The TCL 65X815 has an extremely thin and elegant profile. Its stylish stand cannot be removed even if you opt-in for the available 400 x 200 mm VESA wall mounting option. The stand has a built-in Onkyo 2.1 soundbar that houses two 10W stereo speakers and a 15W subwoofer. The model also supports Dolby AC-4, Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Digital Pure Sound, etc. In addition, the TCL 65X815 supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 g/n/ac, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, DLNA 1.5. Its connectivity options include two USB Type-A 2.0 ports, three HDMI 2.0 inputs with ARC, MHL, DCI, CEC over the corresponding HDMI ports, optical audio out, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, two RF antenna inputs, a CI+ 1.4 port, and an AV Component In port with CVBS.

The TCL 55X815 has exactly the same feature as its bigger sibling. The differences are logical - smaller display and screen area, dimensions, weight and less power consumption. However, it also has weaker speakers and subwoofer - 2x 8W and 1x 10W, respectively.
