Philips OLED808 TVs specifications and featuresPhilips OLED808 was unveiled on February 7th and since then we've managed to compile in one place a descent specifications list for each model of the series based on official data from various sources. Still, do note these are not final and might be changed over time. Foorptint data has yet to be added, too. The series includes a total of five models: The 77", 65", and 55" models are fitted with a second-generation LG OLED Ex panel with a peak brightness of 1000 nits at 3% APL. The 48OLED808 and the 42OLED808 have regular OLED panels. All models have a native refresh rate of 120Hz with VRR and HFR on two HDMI 2.1 ports with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync support. The displays are HDR10+, Doby Vision, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG, and IMAX Enhanced certified.

The Philips OLED808 TVs are based on the upgraded P5 AI Picture Perfect Generation 7 processor with MediaTek Pentonic 1000 chipset at its core. The upgrades brought by this chip include a Super Resolution technology for improving sharpness and finer details, Ambient Intelligence 2.0 technology including built-in XYZ light sensors for more accurate ambient light measurement, and real-time picture adjustment (brightness, gamma, color). Some of the other noteworthy features include a 4-sided latest generation Ambilight with Aurora and Bootup Animation, A.I. PQ mode, HGiG, Micro Dimming Perfect, and Perfect Natural Motion, etc. The next-gen Ambilight offers individual LED light control unlike the previous generation one when lights were controlled in groups.

The sound system of the OLED808 series has 2.1 CH with 70W sound output (50W for the 42-inch model). It comprises two-way speakers and a rear-facing woofer with four passive radiators. Dolby Atmos, DTS Play-Fi, and Mimi Sound Processing are also supported. The Philips OLED808 models from 42-inch to 65-inch have an EVO stand in satin chrome swiveling at +/-15 degrees. The Philips 77OLED808 has satin-finished chrome sticks. The connectivity options of the series include satellite and antenna inputs, two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, two HDMI 2.1 inputs, two HDMI 2.0 ports, optical audio out, a headphone jack, a LAN port, and a CI+ 1.4 slot.
