HP unveils the 64.5-inch Omen X Emperium gaming monitor with sound barHP has unveiled the 64.5-inch Omen X Emperium 65 gaming monitor with sound bar. It features a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and has a native 144Hz refresh rate. It arrives with built-in NVIDIA G-Sync support, so if you pair it with a PC with at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (GTX 1070 or higher is recommended for optimal performance), it will provide high-end gameplay experience. For a more immersive experience, the Emperium is equipped with RGB lighting which you can control from the Omen Command Center. The display panel employs Quantum Dot technology and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It has 384 zones of full-array local dimming backlight so dark zones will appear darker and white zones will appear brighter. The monitor offers 14 ms pf GTG response time and 4 ms response time on overdrive. Its peak brightness is 1000 nits and the typical one is 750 nits. The typical contrast ratio is 4000:1. The model is equipped with VESA mount holes and 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x DisplayPort, 3x HDMI 2.0, 1x HDMI ARC, 1x Line Out and 1x SPDIF. The Omen X Emperium 65 is powered by an Nvidia Tegra X1 processor and Nvidia's Maxwell graphics. This makes it a "smart monitor" via the NVIDIA Shield ecosystem. This means that you can download and run apps such as Netflix and enjoy 4K content. You can also cast games from a PC, for example. The device is currently listed on Amazon priced at $5,624.99 with availability scheduled for February 24th.
