Samsung will launch the world's first Thunderbolt 3 QLED curved monitor at IFA 2018Today Samsung announced the world's first QLED curved monitor with Thunderbolt 3 - the Samsung C34J791. This is a 34-inch unit with a 1500R curvature and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. The VA panel offers a typical brightness of 300 nits, a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angles (H/V). Its refresh rate is 100Hz. The model is equipped with 2x Thunderbolt 3 (USB Type-C) ports, 1x HDMI, 1x DP, 2x USB 3.0. It also arrives with two 7W speakers and wall-mounting option. The model will be showcased at the IFA 2018 in Berlin later this week. "Over the years, Samsung has revolutionized the viewing experience for professionals alike," said Seog-gi Kim, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. "The CJ79 is our latest endeavour in taking curved monitors to the next level that highlights our commitment to innovation. Both have VA panels with 1800R curvature, 300 nits brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 178-degree viewing angles (H/V), 2x USB-C, 1x HDMI, 1x DP, 1x USB 3.0, 2x USB 2.0 ports. Samsung C43J89 has a 43-inch diagonal size and a resolution of 3840 x 1200 pixels, 122Hz refresh rate, two 5W speakers.
