Asus ROG Strix XG259CMS goes official with a 310Hz Fast IPS display
11 April 2024, 07:51:23

In a similar fashion to its predecessor, the ROG Strix XG259CMS arrives with a 24.5-inch Fast IPS display with an FHD resolution. It has a 1 ms GTG response time and what's changed is that the 240Hz native refresh rate can be overclocked to 310Hz. The monitor supports Asus Extreme Low Motion Blue Sync (ELMB Sync) technology and boasts Adaptive-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, and VESA AdaptiveSync Display 310Hz certifications.
The display of the Asus ROG Strix XG259CMS has a typical brightness of 400 nits and supports HDR10 and VESA DisplayHDR 400. It has a true 8-bit color bit depth and covers 110% of the sRGB color space.
With AI-powered GamePlus technology, the monitor analyzes the scene on-screen in real time and adjusts the GamePlus crosshair to enhance targeting accuracy. Additionally, Dynamic Shadow Boost brightens dark areas without overexposing bright areas, providing a clear advantage in low-light environments. Integrated Asus Variable Overdrive 2.0 technology dynamically adjusts the monitor's overdrive setting as frame rates fluctuate, ensuring optimal results for any game.
The monitor has a fully ergonomic stand enabling height adjustment up to 130 mm, +/-45 degrees of swivel, a bi-directional pivot, and -5 to 20 degrees of tilt. The connectivity options include a USB Type-C port with 7.5W power delivery and DP Alt Mode, an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, and a headphone jack.
