Asus ROG Swift OLED PG39WCDM is launched with a 3rd Gen OLED display panelAsus ROG Swift OLED PG39WCDM debuted at CES 2024 and is now ready for market launch. This monitor features a 3rd ROG OLED display panel with LG's META technology delivering a 30% brighter image at 100% APL in HDR. This panel also employs the Clear Pixel Edge algorithm that reduces green and red fringing on text and lines for improved readability. The Asus ELMB technology further reduced ghosting and motion blur.

The 38.5-inch 800R curved OLED display of the Asus ROG Swift OLED PG39WCDM has an ultra-wide QHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels and supports 10-bit color with 135% sRGB and 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage. It delivers a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certified. The monitor arrives with Assu OLED Care technology which includes an advanced custom heatsink improving heat dissipation and reducing the risk of burn-in. It also includes a special OLED setup with a Screen Saver, Pixel Cleaning, Screen Move, and Logo Brightness Adjustment features.

A special Asus feature on some of its OLED monitors is the Uniform Brightness. It is also present on the Asus PG39WCDM. When activated, the ROG-exclusive Uniform Brightness setting within the OSD menu decreases peak brightness to keep levels consistent for better viewing, even when changing the size of bright white windows. It also makes marathon gaming sessions much more comfortable on the eyes.

The OLED display panel has a native refresh rate of 240 Hz and delivers a 0.03 ms GTG response time. Upon announcement, Asus said that the PG39WCDM will support a dual mode for the refresh rate but on the official model page there's no mention of such a feature. Below we provide screenshots from the announcement and from the current official page of the model for comparison. With built-in ROG Smart KVM, this monitor allows users to control two devices seamlessly with a keyboard and mouse, and USB 3.2 connectivity enables rapid file transfers. Extensive connectivity options, including a DisplayPort 1.4 input with DSC, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB 3.2 Type-C with 90W power delivery, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports make the ROG Swift OLED a versatile hub for gaming setups. There is also a headphone jack and an optical audio out port.

Alongside these features, the monitor includes the ROG VESA wall-mount kit for easy wall or partition mounting. Furthermore, it arrives with ROG Gaming Artificial Intelligence technology with Dynamic shadow boost, Dynamic crosshair, Variable Overdrive 2.0, GameVisual, and others that enhance users' experience in gaming.
