The Asus TUF Gaming VG27WQ5F is the second monitor from the brand to employ the triple-mode refresh-rate approach after the Asus ROG Strix XG27UCMG. At the heart of the VG27WQ5F is a 27-inch Fast VA panel offering a 2560 x 1440 resolution. It reaches a maximum refresh rate of 220Hz in its native QHD resolution, a 280Hz refresh rate in FHD, and a 410 Hz (overclock) refresh rate in HD mode.
The 8-bit+FRC VA panel has a 1500R curvature and delivers 300 nits of typical brightness and a 5000:1 static contrast ratio. It covers 99% of the sRGB color space, ensuring rich, accurate visuals across games and media. HDR10 support adds further depth to highlights and shadows, while flicker‑free operation and low blue light technology help reduce eye strain during extended sessions.
Asus equips the VG27WQ5F with a full suite of gaming technologies, including Adaptive‑Sync VRR support, ELMB Sync, Extreme Low Motion Blur, GameFast Input, Shadow Boost, and GameVisual presets. The monitor also integrates AI‑enhanced features such as Dynamic Shadow Boost, AI Visual, and Dynamic Crosshair, designed to improve visibility and aiming precision in challenging scenes.
The monitor is fitted with a tilt-only stand, two 2W speakers, two HDMI 2.1 TMDS poprts, a DisplayPOrt 1.4 input with HBR3, and a headphone jack. Certifications include AMD FreeSync Premium, VESA AdaptiveSync Display (280Hz and 220Hz), TÜV Low Blue Light, TÜV Flicker‑free, and FSC MIX packaging compliance.
