Samsung unveiled its 2018 TVs lineup including QLED TVs, Premium UHD TVs and UHD modelsToday Samsung has presented its flagship line of 2018 QLED TVs and AV products at the 2018 First Look New York event at the American Stock Exchange building in Manhattan, New York. The QLED lineup includes the world's first cadmium-free Quantum Dot technology and offers improved picture quality, design, connectivity and intelligence. This is achieved via a number of improvements and innovations.

For starters, the TVs employ a new Direct Full Array backlighting technology that ensures accurate screen illumination. The halo effects are reduced, while deeper contrast is achieved. It is coupled with an advanced anti-reflection solution. In addition, the Q Engine technology automatically upscales on-screen content to UHD levels when needed. These TVs capture every detail up to 2000 nits and offer 100% colour volume. They offer HDR10+ compatibility

Secondly, the "boundless 360-degree design" and connectivity ensure a premium experience. The QLED TVs arrive with Ambient Mode - an energy-saving function that allows the TV to elegantly display images as well as real-time information such as the weather or news. Cable clutter is dealt with by using the so-called One Invisible Connection, which integrates power cables and data lines that were previously separated to allow the TVs to harmonize with their surrounding aesthetic. The no-gap wall mount is there as well.

Thirdly, these TVs get even smarter by using Samsung's intelligence platform, Bixby, which makes its TV debut in the 2018 QLED lineup. It allows users to use their voice to ask a question, issue a command, and activate a range of useful functions including simple controls over their TV and smart home appliances. The TVs can also connect with SmartThings-compatible devices. Finally, the TVs' Universal Guide service curates content from the TV and connected sources to offer users a customized viewing experience that they can enjoy at any time.

"Our 2018 lineup of televisions are truly our most innovative and sophisticated yet, designed for today's consumer who is mindful of the aesthetics of their space," said Jonghee Han, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. "We are excited for consumers to experience our new TV lineup and features that offer more freedom to decide where and how the TV can be best enjoyed within the home." He also added, "With our 2018 TV lineup, we are changing the definition of visual display to Intelligent Displays." "Designed for total immersion and to enhance the daily lives of consumers everywhere, all while being incredibly easy to use, the new QLED TV lineup provides users with the best viewing experience."

The 2018 Samsung TV line features 9 series across the QLED TV, Premium UHD, UHD and Ultra-Large Screen display range, available in a variety of sizes. Models in the 2018 lineup feature both flat and curved display options. The 2018 QLED TVs include the following models - Q9F (65", 75", 88"), Q8F (55", 65", 75"), Q7C (55", 65"), Q7F (55", 65", 75") and Q6F (49", 55", 65", 75", 82"). The Premium UHD TV models include the NU8500 and NU8000, which include dynamic crystal colour, HDR10+ compatibility, clean cable solutions, and Smart TV enhancements with Bixby Voice and One Remote Control. The 2018 UHD TV models by Samsung include the NU7100 (75", 65", 55", 50", 43", 40″) and NU7300 (65", 55″). These UHD TVs include features such as 4K UHD and HDR picture capabilities, clean cable solutions, slim design and Smart TV capabilities.Source
