ViewSonic showcases a curved monitor for gamersAt the Gamescom 2015 in Cologne, which started today, ViewSonic showcases a prototype of a curved monitor aimed at gamers named ViewSonic XG3401. Pricing and availability are unknown, but here are some of its specifications. The curved screen packs 34-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3440 x 1440. It incorporates AMD's FreeSync technology, which synchronizes the refresh rate of the screen with the rate of transferring data from the graphics processor thus eliminating flicker and lags during gaming. On the back of the stand are placed a DisplayPort 1.2a, HDMI 2.0, an MHL-certified HDMI port and a 4-port USB 3.0 hub, including a USB Type-C port, which allows charging mobile devices and displaying on the monitor content from these devices.
