Samsung S34DG85 from the Odyssey OLED G8 series is partially unveiledSamsung S34DG85 is partially unveiled two years after the Samsung S34BG85. It is built around a 34-inch OLED display with an ultra-wide QHD resolution (3440 x 1440) and 99.3% DCI-P3 color space coverage. Moreover, the OLED monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black Certified. With a refresh rate of up to 175Hz, it also supports AMD FreeSync Premium.

With the Samsung Gaming Hub onboard the monitor users can discover and play games from a variety of platforms. Moreover, the Samsung S34DG85 operates as a complete entertainment hub with the ability to stream content through Samsung's Smart Hub, giving access to the latest shows on Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, and other leading OTT (over-the-top) service providers, even without a connection to a PC or mobile device. In addition, users can enjoy free live content without the need for downloads or sign-ups, made possible by Samsung TV Plus. The integrated IoT hub allows the users to check all the IoT devices wirelessly connected to the monitor. In contrast, the SmartThings app allows users to monitor IoT devices throughout the house with ease. The app’s intuitive control panel can help monitor and adjust settings such as temperature and humidity.

The monitor is fitted with a height- and tilt-adjustable stand. The rear panel features Samsung's upgraded Infinity Core Lighting+. The connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, two USB Type-A ports, and a USB Type-B upstream port. A pair of 5W speakers is also on board. Some of the model's features include Samsung OLED Safeguard+, Super Ultrawide Game View and Game Bar, HDR Tone Mapping, etc. It runs on Tizen OS with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity support. For 2024, the monitor most likely has the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor in a similar fashion to its Samsung S32DG80 sibling.
