The 2021 Philips OLED856 is finally launched in EuropeThree months after launching the OLED806 series in Europe, Philips has finally launched the OLED856 one. The two series have two main differences. The OLED806 one is available in a 77", 65", 55", and a 48" class size. The Philips OLED856 series is available in the 65" and 55" class sizes only. Second, the OLED856 series has a metal dark chrome wedge stand, while the OLED806 series has a metal stand with a dual tone finish and legs. All the rest in terms of specs and features is one and the same. The 2021 Philips OLED856 series has a 4-sided Ambilight with a full set of Ambilight features, P5 AI Perfect Picture Engine with a quad-core CPU, and 16GB built-in storage. The 10-bit 4K OLED panels are Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG certified. Further picture quality features include A.I. PQ, ISF Colour Management, Micro Dimming Perfect, Perfect Natural Motion, Perfect Natural Reality, Ultra Resolution. The TVs also feature a high-quality and powerful 50W 2.1 sound system with a dedicated triple ring, rear facing, bass driver supported by four passive radiators. The sets also offer DTS Play-Fi wireless connectivity for easy to use, high-resolution, multi-room audio, Dolby Atmos support, A.I. Sound, A.I. EQ, Mimi Sound Processing, DTS HD, etc.

The 2021 Philips OLED856 series runs on Android TV 10 with Google Assistant, Alexa, Netflix, Disney+, etc. The connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K @ 120Hz and VRR for 4K from 40Hz to 120Hz at an impressive, high bandwidth of 48Gbps (444, 12 bit). FreeSync Premium Pro and Auto Game mode are added to the Auto-Low-Latency Mode. There are also two HDMI 2.0 ports, satellite and antenna RF inputs, optical aaudio out and a headphone jack, LAN port and a CI+ 1.4 slot, two USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0 port.

Finally, the 2021 Philips OLED856 arrives with a premium Remote Control with elegant, flush, backlit keys, in a metalized finish. For the ultimate luxury touch, the sides and rear of the Remote Control are wrapped in responsibly sourced leather from Scottish leather specialists Muirhead.

In the UK, the Philips 65OLED856 costs GBP 2399 and the Philips 55OLED856 costs GBP 1699.
