Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1R specifications and features

This gaming monitor is a variant of the Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q which was launched in October 2019. While the two models seem to use one and the same display panel, they do offer differences in terms of refresh rates supported, connectivity, ergonomy, etc. Both monitors have 23.8-inch IPS displays with FHD resolution, 250 nits typical brightness, and 72% NTSC color space coverage. The designed of the Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1R seems to offer slender bezels and slightly higher display area. This monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium (Adaptive-Sync) and offers up to 165Hz refresh rate with overclock. The older one reaches 144Hz. In terms of ergonomy, the new monitor offers tilt adjustment only and uses 75 x 75 mm holes for VESA wall mounting. For comparison, the older model uses 100 x 100 mm holes and offers full ergonomy. Both monitors have dual 2W speakers. The Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1R is equipped with two HDMI 1.4 ports, DisplayPort 1.2, and a headphone jack. Lots of Asus gaming features are on board including Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB), Shadow Boost, Trace Free technology, GamePlys, GameFasr, GameVisual. Low blue light and flicker-free techs are onboard as well.

The Asus TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B can be deemed as a strange mixture between the Asus TUF Gaming VG32VQ and the Asus TUF Gaming VG328H1B. The new monitor features a 31.5-inch VA panel with QHD resolution, 120% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 color space coverage. Its stand provides swivel and tilt adjustment, and can also be removed for VESA wall mounting (100 x 100 mm holes). A duo of 2W stereo speakers is on board along with two HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.2 and a headphone hack. The Asus TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B supports AMD FreeSync Premium technology (Adaptive-Sync) for refresh rates up to 165Hz and offers 1 ms MPRT. Asus's proprietary gaming techs such as Extreme Low Motion Blur, GameFast, GameVisual, GamePlus, Shadow Boost, and Trace Free are also present. The model supports HDR10 and has multiple HDR modes. The display is TUV Rheinland certified for low blue light and flicker-free.
