A 43-inch 4K UHD Asus ROG gaming monitor is the first with Display Stream CompressionAt E3 2019, AMD had a special event dubbed "Next Horizon Gaming" introducing its next-generation RX 5700 Navi GPUs. It even demonstrated such a GPU running DisplayPort 1.4 with Display Stream Compression (DSC). This technology allows for higher refresh rates at 4K. The monitor used for the demonstration is a still unannounced Asus ROG model with a 43-inch diagonal size. Actually, the Display Stream Compression (DSC) technology is a part of the VESA standard for DisplayPort and has been developed together with Asus for this particular monitor. It supports 4K at 240Hz (no HDR) and 4K at 120Hz (with HDR, no chroma subsampling). Chroma subsampling and HDR are supported for 4K at 98-120Hz. Source
