Panasonic LX950 and LX900 Viera TV lineup announced in JapanPanasonic Japan is ready to release for the local market two series - the Panasonic LX950 and the Panasonic LX900. They are interesting because they line out what TVs Panasonic will launch in Europe as well. The two series comprise the following models: Both series comprise 4K TVs with IPS panels for all larger models and a VA one for the 43" model. Panasonic uses its HDR Cinema Display Pro panels. They have a native 120Hz refresh rate with VRR support (AMD FreeSync Premium certification). Each TV is fitted with two HDMi 2.1 ports with VR and, HFR support, two HDMI 2.0 ports, 3 USB ports (one 3.0 and two 2.0), LAN port, AV Composite in a 3.5 mm jack, optical audio out, and headphone jack. Being TVs for Japan, these models arrive with market-specific tuners and TV functions. Even the T stand is described as a "fall prevention stand" that is resistant to earthquakes and does not fall.

The Panasonic LX950 specific features include Auto AI mode for adjusting both image and sound quality. This feature automatically optimizes image quality and sound quality according to the scene by scene recognition algorithm using AI technology and deep learning. To further fine-tune this process, the series uses intelligent sensing and processes the information coming from the ambient light sensor to further adjust the image quality. The Material Resolution Detection 4K Fine Remastered Engine, which improves all kinds of video in 4K, analyzes video in the time axis direction and analyzes the video in more detail for each part, making 4K content optimally high-definition. In addition, "AI HDR Remastered" reproduces HDR video signals with high-contrast images that make the most of panel brightness. As for audio, in addition to the Auto AI for sound optimization, the Panasonic LX950 series uses a 360-degree stereoscopic sound system with two 15W full-range speakers and two 15W additional speakers with Dolby Atmos. The two full-range speakers are placed at the top of the back of the TV driving the sound towards the ceiling.

The Panasonic LX900 features Auto Ai for the image only as its audio system is limited to two 15W full-range speakers with Dolby Atmos. That's the main difference between the two series, in addition to the smaller-sized models available for the LX900. Features that are shared by both series include Local Dimming Pro Intelligent with Supreme Contrast, CalMAN Ready, Dynamic HDR Effect, Filmmaker mode, Game Control Board, Game Mode Extreme, Hexa Chroma Drive Pro, ISF Mode, Wide Colour Spectrum. All models support HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive.
