LG Display showcases 5K2K, True Black 1000, and next‑gen OLED tech in TaipeiAdd DisplaySpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleLG Display is preparing a major showcase in Taipei, announcing that it will unveil its newest Gaming OLED technologies at a dedicated roadshow running from June 4 to 10. The company is using the event to accelerate its push into the rapidly expanding OLED gaming monitor market, bringing world‑first innovations and what it calls the industry’s most complete OLED lineup.

Framed under the theme "Empowering Faster, Clearer, Brighter Display Experiences," the Taipei roadshow will gather around 20 global gaming monitor manufacturers. LG Display aims to give partners a firsthand look at its latest breakthroughs while outlining a forward‑looking roadmap for the evolution of Gaming OLED. A comparative demonstration against LCD panels will also be featured, allowing visitors to directly experience the performance gap between the two technologies.

At the center of the exhibition is LG Display's flagship Gaming OLED lineup, spanning from 20 inches to 40 inches - the largest range currently available. Among the highlights is the world's only mass‑produced 39‑inch 5K2K OLED monitor panel. With a 21:9 aspect ratio and a curvature of up to 1500R, the panel is designed to maximize immersion in racing and simulation titles through sharp detail and an expansive field of view.

The company will also spotlight its RGB Stripe OLED, the only OLED panel on the market that arranges red, green, and blue subpixels in uniform size and a linear stripe. This structure preserves consistent pixel spacing, enabling crisp, artifact‑free text even at close viewing distances. Despite its productivity‑friendly clarity, the panel still supports a 240Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for both gaming and professional workloads.

A next‑generation zone will introduce panels that push brightness and color accuracy to new levels. One of the key demonstrations is a Gaming OLED panel that reaches the DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standard, achieving peak brightness of 2000 nits while maintaining creator‑intended color reproduction. LG Display will also present a 27‑inch 5K OLED panel with 220 PPI, offering print‑level sharpness for graphic design, video editing, and other precision‑focused tasks.

Visitors will additionally see emerging OLED technologies such as Black Frame Insertion (BFI), which enables ultra‑high‑refresh‑rate motion clarity without requiring a top‑tier GPU, and Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) 2.0, which lets users switch between ultra‑high‑refresh‑rate and ultra‑high‑resolution modes depending on their needs.

LG Display entered the OLED monitor market in 2022, leveraging more than a decade of expertise in Tandem WOLED technology. In just two years, it has secured around 10 major global monitor brands as customers and now holds industry‑leading records in refresh rate, response time, resolution, and reflectance - the latter reduced to just 0.3% thanks to proprietary surface treatment.

The company will also use the Taipei event to highlight a point it has emphasized repeatedly: even OLED panels with lower refresh rates can deliver a superior real‑world experience compared to high‑refresh‑rate LCDs, particularly in reducing motion blur and image overlap. Through this roadshow, LG Display aims to reinforce its technological leadership and shape the next phase of Gaming OLED innovation.
