LG launches the UltraGear 34GK950G gaming monitor in the US with a $200 discount on Black FridayAt the DreamHack Atlanta gaming forum which was held from November 16th to November 18th, LG heavily promoted its UltraGear gaming monitors marking their launch in the US. Currently, there are two models from the series, which were announced back in August this year - UltraGear 34GK950G and UltraGear 34GK950F. Both units are almost identical and evolve around a 34-inch curved Nano-IPS display from LG with a 1440p resolution. The panel covers 135% of the sRGB colour space, offers 400 nits typical brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio and 178/178-degree viewing angles (h/v). The screen supports VESA's DisplayHDR 400 standard. The minimum response time is 5ms and the average response time measures 14ms. The main difference between the two models is the vertical refresh rate. The Nvidia G-Sync tech on the UltraGear 34GK950G allows for up to 120Hz vertical refresh rate, while the top refresh rate of the UltraGear 34GK950F is 144Hz. The UltraGear 34GK950G will launch at a special Black Friday price of $1199.99 (the regular price is $1399.99) and will be available through Amazon beginning November 16th. It will launch at other retailers, including B&H, Beach Camera, and Adorama in the days to follow.
