Samsung unveils a new generation of quantum-dot TVs under the QLED labelAt CES 2017 in Las Vegas Samsung unveiled its new QLED TVs - these are LCD TV sets with quantum-dot technology. The line includes three models - Q7, Q8 with a curved panel, and the top model is Q9 with a flat panel. The latter will be available in 65 inches and later in 88 inches. The Q8 will have three sizes - 55, 65 and 75 inches. All three are capable to reproduce 100% of the color volume meaning all colors at any level of brightness and cover accurately the DCI-P3 color space. The peak brightness of the models varies from 1500 to 2000 cd/sq.m. These qualities of the QLED TVs by Samsung are due to the adoption of the a new metal - "Quantum Dot material". Furthermore, the new line up demonstrates improved cable management and design. It has a single, transparent "Invisible Connection" cable, through which all peripheral devices you might have can be plugged to the TV simultaneously. In addition, there's a "No-gap wall-mount" for quicker and easier wall mounting. You can choose from two stands for the QLED TVs. The first is "Studio Stand", which looks like an easel with the TV resembling a painting. The second is called "Gravity Stand" and makes the device look like a sculpture. There are many smart features on board, including the Samsung Smart Remote, Smart Hub, Smart View, Sports, and Music apps. The first QLED TVs will be launched in the spring of 2017.Source
