BenQ launches the EW2780Q HDRi monitor, costs USD 300BenQ's 2019 EW line of monitors includes a total of five models that are HDRi-enabled: The 24-inch and 27-inch base models have been announced at the end of July and have FHD displays. Today the manufacturer launched the BenQ EW2780Q, priced at USD 300. This model has a QHD resolution and 2x 5W speakers tuned by treVolo. It covers 99% of the sRGB colour, has a 5 ms response time, 1000:1 static contrast ratio and 350 nits typical brightness. The BenQ EW2780U offers the same but with a 4K UHD resolution and it is still not clear whether the speakers are tuned by treVolo as the official specs are not out yet. Finally, there's the 32-inch 4K UHD model - EW3280U - which was announced at the end of September. It has a 350 nits typical brightness, 400 nits peak brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. The stands of all models can be removed for 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting holes and offer only tilt adjustment. There are also minor differences in the ports available for each model.
