BenQ RD320U / RD320UA and BenQ RD280U / RD280UA join the brand's monitors for programmingMore than two months ago, BenQ launched its first monitor created especially for coding - the BenQ RD240Q. This is a 24.1" IPS monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 px, full ergonomy, and features dedicated to eye safety and productivity improvement. Now, this monitor is adjoined by two other models - the BenQ RD280U / BenQ RD280UA and the BenQ RD320U / BenQ RD320UA.

In terms of display specifications, BenQ RD280U is equipped with a 28.2-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2600 px. We think this is BOE's MV282CVB-N10 display panel. It supports 10-bit color (not specified whether with dithering or not) and covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space. The monitor also delivers 1200:1 static contrast and 8 ms GTG response time. Its native refresh rate is 60 Hz. BenQ RD320U is built around a 31.5-inch IPS display with a 4K resolution, 99% sRGB coverage, and 1000:1 static contrast. Its native refresh rate is also 60 Hz.

Both monitors have fully ergonomic stands and identical connectivity options including a USB Type-C port with 90W power delivery and MST for daisy chaining, a USB Type-C downstream port with 15W power delivery, three USB 3.2 Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, and a headphone jack.

The BenQ RD series of monitors for programming arrives with several specific features. For starters, they have Auto Pivot (except the 28.2" model) which keeps OSD upright for seamless vertical use, boosting productivity. They also have a dedicated Coding HotKey at the center of the function bar. With Display Pilot 2, you can use various Coding Modes tailored specifically for developers and prioritize crystal-clear fonts to enhance code differentiation across various development environments. It also allows you to arrange preferred functions with ease, including Shortcuts, Desktop Partition, Application Mode, Software Dimming, Circadian Mode, and more.

The BenQ ED series also offers advanced eye protection features. Night Hours Protection uses the monitors' intelligent ambient light detection and auto-switch capabilities that require minimal user intervention, ensuring effortless and consistent eye care. B.I. Gen2 emphasizes automatic detection of environmental brightness for automated screen brightness adjustments. In BenQ’s RD series, there is a backlight “MoonHalo,” available in BenQ RD280U / BenQ RD280UA and the BenQ RD320U / BenQ RD320UA. It is an eye-care feature that minimizes contrast glare and reduces ambient light interference.
