Philips launches two new premium OLED+ TVs and its 3rd Gen. P5 engineAt IFA 2019 in Berin Philips has launched two new premium OLED+ TVs and its 3rd Generation P5 engine. The TVs are created in collaboration with Bowers & Wilkins - a legendary British audio products company. The units feature the latest OLED panels and 3rd generation P5 processing suite.

The 65-inch Philips OLED+984 features "the highest PQ performance and the most advanced sound system ever offered on a TV." It has a dedicated sound system mounted in a dedicated cabinet located below the TV including many signature Bowers & Wilkins acoustic technologies. It is paired to the latest generation Dolby Atmos decoding and processing for spacious audio with the four-sided Ambilight.

The 55-inch Philips OLED+934 and the 65-inch Philips OLED+934 have a separate speaker enclosure that combines with a minimalist metal angled arm to act as the set's table top stand. They also automatically recognise and decode Dolby Atmos content.

The 3rd generation P5 engine has a two-chip arrangement and doubles the processing power of the 2nd Gen P5 chipset with 30% PQ improvement. The new chipset brings improved noise reduction, better sharpness, more accurate colours and skin tones and better contrast to all sources. Unlike the previous generations, it can enhance Dolby Vision encoded dynamic HDR content. It also adds de-contour enhancement, bit-depth calculation and sparse filtering to produce an even cleaner, sharper image. Source
