Tianma showcases at CES 2026 a 108-inch 4K Micro LED display with a peak brightness of 1500 nits
8 January 2026, 08:57:28
Tianma is unveiling at CES 2026 a major milestone in next‑generation display engineering with the introduction of a 108‑inch 4K Micro LED display built using the world's first all‑laser mass transfer process on a glass‑based LTPS TFT backplane. The breakthrough, which marks a significant advancement toward scalable and efficient Micro LED manufacturing, will be demonstrated by appointment at CES 2026 in the West Hall Meeting Rooms (W323).
The new display showcases Tianma's fully laser‑driven transfer method, moving LEDs from wafer to carrier and ultimately to a glass‑based LTPS backplane. By eliminating reliance on traditional PCB substrates, the process removes common performance issues such as flicker, crosstalk, and brightness banding. The glass substrate further enhances uniformity, achieving a seam width of less than 20 micrometers for truly seamless splicing across large display surfaces.
Tianma pairs this manufacturing innovation with a suite of advanced design technologies, including compensatory voltage‑controlled pixel architecture, 3D integrated film‑forming side routing, and a proprietary LED mixed‑bin approach. Together, these elements deliver consistent luminance uniformity and peak brightness exceeding 1500 nits. With the company's latest packaging solution, the display reaches a contrast ratio of 1000000:1, ultra‑low reflectivity at just 1.7% SCE, and a wide 170‑degree viewing angle - performance metrics that underscore the rapid maturation of large‑format Micro LED.
Attendees seeking a closer look at Tianma's latest display innovations can visit the company's CES 2026 showcase in the West Hall Meeting Rooms (W323), where additional next‑generation technologies will be presented.
