The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 a.k.a. Samsung S32BG85 summary of features and specsThe Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 a.k.a. Samsung S32BG85 was announced earlier this month as the world's first 4K 240Hz gaming monitor. Samsung hasn't unveiled the full list of specifications, yet, but based on the Odyssey Neo G9 features and specs combined with the official data from Samsung's announcement, we can make an educated guess on some of the main features and specifications of the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 a.k.a. Samsung S32BG85.

It has a 32-inch, 4K VA display with a 1000R curvature. Whether this is a CSOT panel like on the Odyssey Neo G9 remains to be seen. In the same way as the Odyssey Neo G9, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 a.k.a. Samsung S32BG85 uses a Quantum Mini LED backlight, which has been slimmed down to 1/40 compared to existing LEDs and supports Samsung's proprietary image quality control technology Quantum Matrix and a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. The model has a Quantum HDR 2000 rating. In addition, the screen's brightness is controlled in 4,096 steps (12-bits) to achieve the industry's highest 1,000,000:1 fixed contrast ratio and more detailed and perfect black detail. Additionally, the model is fitted with two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, two USB 3.0 Type-A and an upstream port, headphone jack. The rear panel is in white with Infinity Core Lighting with CoreSync that automatically recognizes the color of the screen and matches the backlighting and color of the product. AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible certifications are expected.
