The Asus ROG Swift PG48UQ is completely revealed, market launch imminentAt CES 2022, Asus unveiled a pair of ROG Swift OLED gaming monitors - the Asus ROG Swift PG48UQ and the Asus ROG Swift PG42UQ. Now, Asus has listed the full list of specifications and set of official photos of the Asus ROG Swift PG48UQ, while the 42" model has not received an official product page yet.

Both monitors feature 4K OLED displays with a new Micro-texture coating that reduces reflections and offers more accurate colors. Moreover, Asus has worked to improve heat dissipation by adding a special heat sink so it does not cap brightness unnecessarily. It helps keep operating temperatures below 50˚C (up to 16% lower than competitor models) and still reach a peak brightness of 900 nits. Moreover, both Asus ROG Swift OLED gaming monitors support FRL via their HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48 Gbps bandwidth and native 4K at 120Hz without chroma subsampling. Console gamers can also take advantage of variable-refresh-rate technology and auto-low-latency mode (ALLM). In addition, the ROG Swift OLED displays have an array of connectivity features including two HDMI 2.1 and two HDMI 2.0 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 with Display Stream Compression (DSC), and a USB hub comprising four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a Type-B port as well. Both Asus ROG Swift OLED monitors are factory pre-calibrated to an industry-leading Delta E<2. They cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and have a native 10-bit color bit depth support, and a 0.1 ms GTG response time.

Even though both models will share many other features, here are the additional details unveiled via the Asus ROG Swift PG48UQ. This monitor has a refresh rate of up to 138Hz and is NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. No AMD FreeSync certification so far. It supports Trace Free technology, GameVisual, GamePlus, etc. It also uses a flicker-free technology and a low blue light hardware solution. The typical brightness is 450 nits and typical contrast ratio is specified as being 135,000:1 with the HDR one reaching 1.5M:1. There are two 10W speakers onboard the monitor as well. In terms of ergonomy, the VESA wall mounting is 300 x 300, and there's a minor tilt available from -4 to 5 degrees.
