Panasonic showcases its UHD OLED TVs from the DX900 series at the IFA in BerlinPanasonic's UHD OLED TVs from the DX900 series have been presented officially at the CES 2016 in Las Vegas back in January. At the IFA this September, Berlin visitors can check out the models displayed at Panasonic's booth at the Messe Berlin. Built specifically for HDR content (they display non-HDR one, of course), these TVs have a Honeycomb structure - an entirely new local dimming technology for higher whites and deeper blacks. Due to this technology the peak brightness of DX900 TVs reaches 1000 nits. Moreover, it removes halos, bloom effects, and other potential defects. The TVs performance relies on aPanasonic's HCX+ (Hollywood Cinema eXperience plus) chipset that supports the Rec 709 industry video standard coupled with an enhanced 3D Look Up Table system that covers 8000 registry reference points - this is almost 40 times more than those in a traditional TV. The models also have THX's 4K Certification. There is an advanced set of speakers as well with a sub-woofer coupled with Quad Passive Radiators and Neodynium magnets for truly immersive sound experience. There are two DX900 models - a 65-inch and a 58-inch one, dubbed TX-65DX902B and TX-58DX902B, respectively.Source
