LG OLED Flex LX3 TV with the world's first 42" flexible OLED display debuts at IFA 2022LG Electronics introduces the LG OLED Flex LX3, an innovative TV featuring the world's first 42-inch flexible OLED screen. The LG OLED Flex is perfect for intense console, PC, and cloud gaming, as well as enjoying live TV broadcasts and streaming services. Consumers can choose their ideal position from twenty degrees of curvature and decide for themselves whether the display is completely flat or curved with up to 900R.

The flexible 42-inch display offers numerous customization options: The consumer can set the degree of curvature of the Flex to one of two available presets via a dedicated button on the remote control. Alternatively, the degree of curvature can be changed manually in five percent increments in 20 stages. In addition, the screen of the LG OLED Flex can be tilted up to ten degrees towards the user or up to five degrees away from the user. In addition, the screen has a height-adjustable stand and can be adjusted up or down within a range of 140 millimeters.

The LG LX3 is characterized by unique features and functions that give every gamer more control over their gaming experience. For example, the size of the image on the screen2 can be adjusted to individual preferences or to the genre of the game. Fans of role-playing games (RPGs), racing games, or platformers will likely want to use the full 42-inches of the screen, while players of real-time strategy games (RTS) or first-person shooters (FPS) might want a 21:9 prefer image format. The image resizing feature can be easily accessed from the gaming dashboard menu.

Gamers will also appreciate LG LX3's Multi-View mode: this mode allows content from two different sources to be displayed at the same time. Gaming enthusiasts can play a PC or console game while a YouTube stream3 is running from their smartphone.

For maximum convenience, the Switching Hub feature allows the use of the LG OLED Flex's built-in microphone and any device connected via the USB ports, such as a headset, keyboard or mouse, with a PC connected via HDMI cable. By pressing the source switching button on the side of the LX3 stand, the user can toggle the device connection between PC and LG OLED Flex without having to physically unplug and plug anything. In addition, the built-in microphone provides effective echo cancellation for crystal clear voice chats while gaming.

The new gaming app, exclusive to the LX3, supports custom screensavers, offers shortcuts to popular apps like Twitch and YouTube, and displays a list of connected external input devices - all on a single screen. The well-known Game Optimizer from LG has been revised for the LG OLED Flex and supplements the diverse picture and audio options for gamers with individual sound settings for specific game genres. The dedicated game sound interface includes an equalizer, AI Game Sound and Dolby Atmos toggles, and provides access to advanced audio settings that allow gamers to customize the gaming experience to their liking.

Like all current LG OLED TVs, the LG OLED Flex supports Dolby Vision gaming at 4K 120Hz and is equipped with the latest HDMI 2.1 functions such as variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). In addition, the flexible OLED display of the LG OLED Flex (LX3) is Nvidia G-SYNC compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certified.

The LG OLED Flex only becomes an immersive experience thanks to LG's groundbreaking OLED evo technology: with infinite contrast, deep black, highly precise colors (100 percent color fidelity certified)4, a lightning-fast pixel response time of 0.1 milliseconds and low input lag the LG OLED Flex gives the viewer the feeling of being in the middle of the action.

In addition to the realistic image quality supported by the intelligent AI processor α9 (Alpha) Gen5 and unique image algorithms, the LG OLED Flex also offers outstanding visual comfort. This is proven by multiple certifications for freedom from flicker and glare5. The LX3's OLED screen is easy on the eyes and allows users to enjoy longer gaming sessions and watch their favorite movies and series without interruption. LG's Super Anti-Reflective Coating (SAR) helps reduce visual distractions so users can focus on what's on the screen.

The LX3 also offers great sound with dual 40W front speakers that further enhance the gaming and entertainment experience. With built-in support for Dolby Atmos, the TV brings more clarity, depth and liveliness to compatible titles.

To complete the personal user experience, the LG OLED Flex integrates a customizable lighting function into its shield-like back design. The LX3's lighting creates a unique atmosphere by synchronizing with the video or audio content playing on the screen if desired and offers five unique modes6 for the user to choose from.

The LG OLED Flex can be seen at IFA 2022 at the LG stand in Hall 18 of Messe Berlin.
