The Sony BRAVIA 5 series hosts many of the state-of-the-art technologies and features of last year's most advanced models into a more affordable, yet compelling audiovisual package. The LEDs are intelligently controlled by XR Backlight Master Drive, which shares its core technology with Sony's professional monitors. This technology has precise local dimming for stunning contrast, beautifully capturing light and shadow with detailed gradation, from subtle facial shading to bold highlights. XR Clear Image intelligently upscales your favorites to near-4K. XR Triluminos Pro reproduces over a billion colors with subtle differences in saturation and hue that enable natural shades in every detail. XR Motion Clarity analyzes movement across several frames and precisely synchronizes the backlight with on-screen motion so you see clear, bright images, however fast the action.
The XR Processor underpinning the Sony BRAVIA 5 series features an AI scene recognition system that now detects and analyzes with even greater accuracy, optimizing the picture for deeper realism. With improved detection, every scene is finely tuned for a more lifelike viewing experience. With BRAVIA technology, Pure Stream, and IMAX Enhanced, everything you watch is delivered with stunning visuals and expressive sound quality. The series also arrives with advanced audio features such as Acoustic Multi-Audio which syncs sound and image perfectly. Sony's X-Balanced Speaker with its uniquely shaped diaphragm reduces distortion for improved sound resolution. Voice Zoom 3 recognizes human dialogue through AI machine learning and amplifies or reduces its volume so even small dialogue sounds loud and clear. 3D Surround Upscaling creates a virtual surround from above and the sides using just the TV speakers. DTS and Dolby Atmos are also on board.
The BRAVIA 5 TVs are also excellent with gaming, especially on your PS5, featuring Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode. You can also control your PlayStation remotely wherever you have a compatible BRAVIA connected to the internet. The PS Remote Play app lets you control your PS5, PS5 Pro, or PS4 console from another room or location like a friend's house. With Game Menu 2 you can check your status, fine-tune settings, and access assist functions from one place.
