AOC U27U4D and AOC U27U4 go official with 120Hz 4K Penta Tandem QD-OLED panels

In addition to the AOC Q27U4D, AOC has also introduced two other models from the brand new AOC U4 series - the AOC U27U4D and the AOC U27U4. Although AOC provides full specifications for both models and we examined them closely, we were unable to identify any technical differences, despite the additional "D" in the model name. For now, we will treat them as separate entries in case the official listings contain errors or, over time, AOC introduces distinctions that are not yet reflected in the current documentation.
Each model employs a 4th Gen QD-OLED display panel with a five-stack structure, an EL Gen 3 (EL 3.0) emissive material, and a triangular RGB sub-pixel layout with quadrilateral-shaped sub-pixels. The display panel has a 26.5-inch diagonal size, a 4K UHD resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate. They also use AOC's DarkShield AGLR coating, which has an additional layer of hardness for increased durability. The displays are UL TrueBright, TÜV Rheinland Flicker‑Free, and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified. Each has a typical SDR brightness of 250 cd/m² and a peak HDR brightness of 1000 cd/m². The monitor is certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400, delivering deep blacks, bright highlights, and expanded dynamic range.
Color output reaches 10‑bit depth with 10.7 billion colors. The panel covers 100% of the sRGB and 99% of the DCI‑P3 color space. Factory calibration ensures an average ΔE below 1 in sRGB mode, and preset color spaces such as DCI‑P3, Display‑P3, and Adobe RGB support professional workflows. The new QD‑OLED Care system uses graphene cooling and silent pixel refresh to mitigate burn‑in risk.
Performance features include Adaptive‑Sync with FreeSync support, Clear Vision for improving low‑resolution content, dark‑field control, shadow enhancement, tone adjustment, and MBR motion‑blur reduction. Response time is rated at 0.03 ms GtG, allowing near‑instant pixel transitions and eliminating motion blur. The VESA ClearMR 8000 certification for both models means the displays provide a very high level of motion clarity with minimal motion blur, featuring a Clear Motion Ratio (CMR) range of 75 to 85 times (7500% to 8500%) more clear pixels than blurry pixels.
Both the AOC U27U4D and the AOC U27U4 are equipped with dual 5W speakers, a headphone jack, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C downstream port with 15W power delivery, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C usptream port for data, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C upstream port with 96W power delivery and DP Alt Mode. Moreover, the connectivity options include an HDMI 2.1 port with full bandwidth support (FRL6 at 48 Gbps) and a DisplayPort 1.4 input with HBR3.
These 4K QD-OLED monitors arrive with the signature AOC U4 series an L-shape stand that has won a 2026 RED Dot Design Award thanks to its layered two-tone finish that combines a minimalist aesthetic with subtle detailing. The stand offers up to 150 mm of height adjustment, a bi-directional pivot, +/-30 degrees of swivel, and -5 to 23 degrees of tilt.
