Panasonic 77Z8BA expands the brand's premium OLED TV lineup
23 October 2025, 10:34:15
Panasonic is expanding its premium OLED TV lineup with the launch of the 77-inch Z8BA, a sleek addition to its "one box cinematic experience" series. Joining the ranks of the Z95A and Z95B, the Z8BA blends cutting-edge picture and sound technology with smart features designed for modern American homes. Pre-orders begin October 27, with broader availability expected mid-November. The TV's price is set at USD 2500.
At the heart of the Z8BA is Panasonic's HCX Pro AI Processor MK II, paired with a Master OLED Pro Cinema Size panel. This combo delivers exceptional brightness, rich contrast, and cinema-grade color accuracy - thanks in part to Panasonic's long-standing collaboration with Hollywood professionals. Dolby Vision IQ Precision Detail enhances every frame by intelligently adjusting brightness and contrast based on ambient lighting, ensuring even the darkest scenes are crystal clear.
Sound is equally immersive. Tuned by Technics engineers, the Z8BA features 360 Soundscape Pro and Dolby Atmos compatibility, creating a multidimensional audio experience that pulls you into the action. Whether you're watching a blockbuster or gaming, the Z8BA delivers sound that's as dynamic as its visuals.
Fire TV is built right in, offering a personalized home screen that brings together streaming apps, live channels, and tailored recommendations. With far-field Alexa voice control, users can launch apps, play music, or search for content hands-free. The Z8BA also doubles as a smart home hub, with a dashboard for managing Alexa-enabled devices and support for Apple Home and AirPlay - so you can stream directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Gamers will appreciate the Z8BA's 144Hz refresh rate and ultra-low input lag, which make for buttery-smooth gameplay. Game Mode Extreme, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, and AMD FreeSync Premium support ensure responsiveness across consoles and PCs. Dolby Vision Gaming now supports up to 144Hz, delivering stunning HDR visuals with deep contrast and vivid color. True Game Mode fine-tunes white balance and grayscale for visuals that reflect developers' intent, while specialized sound modes for RPGs and FPS titles enhance immersion and tactical awareness.
For professionals and enthusiasts alike, the Z8BA offers advanced calibration tools, including Calman and ISF support. These allow for precise color tuning and industry-standard performance, making the TV a serious contender for creators and editors who demand accuracy.
When not in use, the Z8BA transforms into a dynamic display with Fire TV's Ambient Experience, showcasing personal photos or curated artwork. The included remote features Panasonic's customizable "MyApp" button, giving users quick access to their favorite app or command. And with support for ATSC 3.0, the Z8BA can receive free NEXTGEN TV broadcasts, now available to most U.S. households.
With its blend of cinematic visuals, immersive sound, smart features, and gaming prowess, the Panasonic Z8BA is more than just a TV - it's a full-spectrum entertainment hub designed for how Americans live, play, and connect.
