ViewSonic China has launched a pair of new models for the local market. The first pieces of information about the ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-3 and the ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-5 a.k.a. VX2776-2K-PRO-5 appeared in the spring and now, the two gaming monitors are on sale.
ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-3 specifications and features
ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-3 follows the design language introduced a year ago with the ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-2. It has a 3-sided micro bezel design with a V-shaped, fully ergonomic stand, and V-shaped RGB LED lights on the rear shell. The stand has a built-in cable management opening and provides up to 130 mm height adjustment, a bi-directional pivot, +/-45 degrees of swivel, and -5 to 20 degrees of tilt.Compared to last year's models from the same VX2781-2K-PRO family, the ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-2 arrives with a brighter display. It is still a 27-inch QHD Fast IPS unit with a higher typical brightness of 350 nits and a higher peak brightness of 600 nits. Hence, the new model has a VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. Moreover, it delivers a higher refresh rate of 240 Hz. The connectivity options are limited to two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, and a headphone jack. The model's features include Advanced DCR, AMD FreeSync technology, Black Stabilization, Color Adjust, Eco Mode, Flicker-free technology, Low Blue Light, Overscan, and ViewMode.
ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-5 specifications and features
ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-5 a.k.a. VX2776-2K-PRO-5 also has a 27-inch QHD Fast IPS display but the display panel is different compared to the panel of the ViewSonic VX2781-2K-PRO-3 and those of the older models for that matter. For starters, it supports true 8-bit color and covers 100% of the sRGB and 98% of the DCI-P3 color space. Secondly, it has a lower brightness level with 340 nits of typical brightness and 420 nits of peak one with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. The ergonomic options as well as the design are identical to those of the VX2781-2K-PRO-3. The connectivity options are expanded and in addition to the two HDMI 2.0 ports, the DisplayPort 1.4 input, and the headphone jack, are added two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a USB 3.0 Type-B upstream port.
