Add DisplaySpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleMSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED is the first of a slew of new OLED gaming monitors unveiled by MSI today prior to their official debut at CES 2025 next week. This is the third monitor after the Samsung G81SF (S27FG81) and the Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM to feature the new 26.5-inch QD-OLED display with a 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. According to MSI, this is a 5-Layer Tandem 3rd Gen OLED panel. The 10-bit panel covers 138% of the sRGB color space, 98% of the Adobe RGB, and 99% of the DCI-P3 one. The typical brightness is 250 nits, while the peak one should hit 1000 nits. VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification is also mentioned.
Moreover, just like the Asus model, the MSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED features a DisplayPort 2.1a input with UHBR20 support. This means that if the graphics card supports it, you don't need to use Display Stream Compression (DSC) as the port provides full 80 Gbps bandwidth for 4K @ 240 Hz. There are also two HDMI 2.1 ports, a USB Type-C port with 98W power delivery and DP Alt Mode, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a headphone jack. KVM functionality, PiP, and PbP are also supported.
Furthermore, the MSI MPG 272URX QD-OLED arrives with OLED Care 2.0 including a custom heating and graphene film panel. There's a fully ergonomic stand including a bi-directional pivot support.
