Samsung Display exhibits a full gaming display lineup at Computex 2026Add DisplaySpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleSamsung Display has announced a sweeping showcase for Computex 2026, unveiling what it calls its most comprehensive gaming‑focused display lineup to date. The company is bringing 16 new OLED and QD‑OLED products to the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, spanning everything from 8.8‑inch handheld‑PC panels to 49‑inch ultrawide monitors, all designed to demonstrate how self‑emissive displays have overtaken LCDs in the high‑end gaming market.

At the center of the exhibition is a series of major firsts. Samsung Display is introducing the world's first 4K 360Hz QD‑OLED monitor, a panel that pushes pixel throughput and refresh‑rate engineering to new extremes. Achieving both specifications simultaneously required reworking internal circuitry and pixel‑charging systems to handle the enormous data load. The company is also highlighting its new five‑layer Penta Tandem architecture, which increases the blue OLED stack from four layers to five, improving luminance, efficiency, and lifespan while delivering brighter HDR scenes and deeper blacks.

Laptop displays are receiving equal attention. Samsung Display is debuting an Ultra Slim OLED panel that reduces module thickness by more than 20 percent compared to current mass‑produced models. This was achieved by etching both the TFT substrate glass and encapsulation glass to reduce thickness by over 30 percent while maintaining structural stability. Despite the slimmer profile, the panels retain hallmark OLED performance, including True Black 1000 certification and refresh rates up to 240Hz. The company notes that its laptop OLEDs can reach VESA’s highest ClearMR 11000 rating, ensuring exceptional motion clarity for gaming.

The booth also features a wide range of QD‑OLED monitors, including a 34‑inch QHD+ model certified for True Black 500 and a vertical‑stripe pixel‑layout panel designed to improve text clarity. Visitors can compare these displays directly against LCDs through hands‑on mini‑games developed in‑house using AI. These demos highlight OLED advantages such as instantaneous response times, superior shadow detail and richer color reproduction.

Samsung Display is partnering with major game studios to showcase real‑world performance. Attendees can play PUBG: Battlegrounds on a 27‑inch 500Hz QD‑OLED monitor, experience the cinematic visuals of Crimson Desert on a 16‑inch 2.5K OLED laptop and compare F1 25 on a 49‑inch Dual QHD QD‑OLED against an LCD counterpart. Rhythm‑game fans can also try DJMAX RESPECT V on both monitor and handheld OLED hardware.

According to Samsung Display, the shift from LCD to self‑emissive technologies in the gaming sector is accelerating rapidly, and the company intends to remain at the forefront of that transition. COMPUTEX 2026 marks its most ambitious demonstration yet of how OLED and QD‑OLED can reshape gaming immersion across devices and form factors.
