Samsung S32DG80 (G80SD) with a 240Hz 4K QD-OLED display and smart features is ready to go on saleIn a week's time, Samsung is going to launch to the market its 2024 monitor lineup including Odyssey gaming monitors, ViewFinity, and Smart Monitor models. One of the most interesting ones for this year is the Samsung G80SD from the Odyssey OLED G8 series, which also dubbed as Samsung S32DG80. The detailed model name in Europe is LS32DG800SUXEN / LS32DG802SUXEN. For this market, the price of the model will be around EUR 1300. In North America it is LS32DG802SNXZA.

The Samsung S32DG80 has a flat 31.5" OLED display panel with a 4K resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a special anti-glare technology that minimizes reflections and provides a consistent level of brightness and color without the need for a separate hood. The model is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified and supports up to a 240Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification. The 10-bit panel covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. It delivers a typical brightness of 250 nits and a peak one of 1000 nits. The static contrast ratio is 1M:1.

The Samsung G80SD is equipped with a fully ergonomic stand, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 input, and a USB hub comprising two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a USB Type-B port. With an ultra-slim metal design, this monitor also adopts the new Infinity Core Lighting+ on the rear shell. The new generation of this feature has a lighting structure that is more than four times slimmer than before, perfectly harmonizing with the ultra-slim metal bezel of 3.9 mm at the thinnest part. The colorful circular lighting located in the center of the rear creates a game atmosphere in the surrounding space, further enhancing the immersion in the game.

In addition to being a gaming monitor, the Samsung S32DG80 is also a smart one. It arrives with Tizen on board and supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, it arrives with the Samsung Smart Remote control with voice control that also accompanies the Smart Monitors from the M1, M7, and M8 series. The G80SD also arrives with the new 'Multi-Control' feature to improve the user experience through seamless connectivity between devices. 'Multi-Control' is a feature that allows users to control Samsung Electronics monitors, Galaxy Books, tablets, or mobile phones through a single mouse and keyboard, or to easily move images and texts, enhancing connectivity between Samsung devices to improve ease of use and work efficiency. The SmartThings Hub is also built-in and supports Matter and HCA standards allowing users to connect and control various IoT devices without the need for a separate hub. Samsung Tizen OS is on board as well enabling various OTT services including streaming gaming via the Samsung Gaming Hub.
