LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED - precision pixel control meets cinematic scale
20 October 2025, 08:41:18
LG has launched the LG MAGNIT Active Micro LED, a cutting-edge home cinema display that leverages Active Matrix technology for pixel-level precision. This next-gen screen delivers stunning clarity, contrast, and depth, elevating the premium viewing experience to new heights.
Rolling out in Korea on October 21 and expanding to major markets like North America, the MAGNIT Active Micro LED joins LG's flagship MAGNIT series. With a massive 136-inch display (roughly 3 meters wide by 1.7 meters tall), 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160), and an extraordinary 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, it offers immersive visuals with lifelike realism.
Unlike traditional Passive Matrix systems, LG's Active Matrix architecture enables each self-emissive Micro LED pixel to produce its own light - resulting in ultra-fine detail and true-to-life picture quality. LG's advanced surface treatment enhances black levels and reduces glare, while its modular design ensures a seamless, gap-free viewing surface. The flicker-free screen also supports comfortable extended viewing.
Audio performance is equally impressive. Integrated 4.2-channel speakers deliver 100 watts of surround sound, and support for enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) ensures lossless playback of high-fidelity audio - bringing cinematic sound into the living room.
At the heart of the display is LG's α9 AI Processor 6th Generation, which intelligently interprets content to optimize every frame. It sharpens images, reduces noise, and enhances facial and object recognition for more natural, vivid scenes. A 144Hz refresh rate guarantees smooth motion, perfect for gaming and sports.
Built on LG's webOS smart TV platform, the display offers seamless access to LG Channels (its free ad-supported streaming service), OTT apps, and gaming content. LG Gallery+ adds an artistic touch, allowing users to transform their space with curated visuals - from classic paintings to game-inspired illustrations. AirPlay 2 and Miracast support make screen sharing from iOS and Android devices effortless.
The MAGNIT Active Micro LED also features Dolby Vision for breathtaking color, contrast, and detail. Certified by TÜV Rheinland for Color Consistency Wide Viewing, it maintains vibrant visuals across wide angles - even on its expansive screen.
Designed with both aesthetics and safety in mind, the display meets FCC standards for residential electromagnetic compatibility and holds Class 2 flammability certification from the British Standards Institution, confirming its suitability for indoor use.
Looking ahead, LG plans to evolve the MAGNIT Active Micro LED into a scalable video wall solution, reinforcing its commitment to the B2B display market.
