Lenovo ThinkVision P34WD-40 and Lenovo ThinkVision P34W-40 go official with 34" IPS displays

Lenovo presented at CES 2025 its new ThinkVision P series monitors that bring innovative AI-powered features and sustainable design, and are targeted at professionals who need precise visuals and enhanced productivity. The first model from the series is the Lenovo ThinkVision P34WD-40 which features a 34-inch IPS display with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 px. The monitor delivers 350 nits of brightness and a variable refresh rate of 24Hz-120Hz. It covers 99% of the sRGB and 98% of the DCi-P3 color space. The Lenovo ThinkVision P34WD-40 also provides rich connectivity options including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 in and DisplayPort 1.4 out for daisy chaining, five USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with 140W power delivery and DP Alt mode. A pair of 5W speakers is also on board.
There's a slightly downgraded version of this model dubbed Lenovo ThinkVision P34W-40. It also has a 34" IPS display with an ultra-wide QHD resolution but the brightness is lower - 300 nits with AI Power Solution. Lenovo also specifies a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The color space coverage and refresh rate are the same. The connectivity options are limited to the HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort in/out ports. ThinkVision P Series offers daisy-chain capabilities capable of connecting up to four displays and select ultrawide models feature True Split, which allows users to split their display into multiple virtual screens for enhanced multitasking.
Lenovo's commitment to the increased use of more sustainable materials shows with the monitors built using 95% post-consumer recycled plastic (front bezel and covers), a stand swivel made of 100% recycled aluminum, and 20% recycled glass in the panel. The Lenovo ThinkVision P34WD-40 will be available starting June 2025, with an expected starting price of $899.
