LG 32U990A UltraFine 6K monitor is the world's first Thunderbolt 5 monitor

LG 32U990A is a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree. This is a 6K monitor from the UltraFine series and also happens to be the world's first Thunderbolt 5 monitor. The model features a Nano IPS Black display panel an delivers exceptional color accuracy and high contrast with a wide color gamut covering 99.5% of the Adobe RGB and 98% of the DCI-P3 one. The LG 32U990A has a slim, geometric design and is perfect for media professionals. The monitor does arrive with calibration software support.
Thunderbolt 5 is used by Apple in Mac models running on M4 Pro and M4 Max. It supports up to 80 Gbps of bi-directional bandwidth, with the potential for up to 120 Gbps in one direction when bandwidth boost is enabled. Hence, the LG 32U990A can easily pair with those. Moreover, its design will definitely appeal to Apple Pro Display XDR users. The resolution of the U3224KB has not been specified but it should be something similar to the Apple Pro Display XDR's (6016 x 3384 px) from 2019 or the Dell U3224KB's (6144 x 3456) from 2023. No other details are available for the LG 32U990A at present.
