Hisense E8S Pro TVs with 170Hz 4K RGB-Mini LED displays are launched in China

Hisense E8S Pro TVs with 170Hz 4K RGB-Mini LED displays are launched in ChinaHisense has launched the E8S Pro series in China, positioning it as a flagship Mini‑LED TV aimed squarely at gamers and home‑theatre enthusiasts who want extreme brightness, fast motion handling, and built‑in high‑end audio. The range includes 75‑, 85‑ and 100‑inch models and is already available through major Chinese retailers such as JD.com, with pricing that starts at CNY 16,599 for the 75‑inch and scales up for the larger sizes. Unlike most Mini‑LED TVs that use white LEDs with a quantum‑dot layer for color conversion, the E8S Pro employs a custom RGB‑Mini LED backlight that uses separate red, green and blue emitters; Hisense says this approach improves color purity and removes the need for a quantum‑dot conversion layer, while enabling much higher peak luminance through its XDR Pro enhancement technology. The company claims a peak brightness of up to 6200 nits, a level that Hisense highlights as dramatically higher than even the brightest OLEDs on the market.

Hisense scales the density of local dimming zones with screen size to maintain precision on very large panels: the 75‑inch ships with 4200 zones, the 85‑inch with 7020, and the 100‑inch with 9360, which, together with the RGB backlight, aims to reduce blooming and deliver strong HDR highlights and deep blacks. Hisense also advertises full BT.2020 gamut coverage, an internal 108‑bit processing pipeline with 99 percent purity, and hardware and software measures designed to reduce harmful blue light compared with conventional Mini‑LED sets.

The E8S Pro runs Hisense's Hi‑View Engine H7 for AI‑assisted pixel‑level scene recognition, adaptive tone‑mapping and noise reduction, paired with a MediaTek MT9655 system‑on‑chip and a configuration that includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage to support the smart platform and local processing tasks. Hisense’s software includes an AI Game Mode that automatically tweaks picture and latency settings by game type, and the TV's processing is tuned to preserve detail across both fast action and cinematic content

For competitive and high‑frame‑rate gaming the E8S Pro offers a native 170Hz 4K panel that can be overclocked to 330Hz at 1080p, four HDMI 2.1 inputs with full 48 Gbps bandwidth, and support for Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, giving consoles and capable PCs the bandwidth and adaptive sync features they need for low‑latency, tear‑free play.

Audio duties are handled by a Devialet‑tuned 4.2.2 speaker system built around a 7.6-liter cavity and rated at around 270 watts total output, with support for object‑based formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced to provide an immersive soundstage without an immediate need for a separate AV rig. The chassis is finished with a slim metallic bezel and a near-zero-gap wall mounting option, and connectivity beyond HDMI includes USB ports, gigabit Ethernet, Wi‑Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.
