Sharp 8T-C70CX1 and Sharp 8T-C60CX1 are two new Aquos 8K TVs for JapanSharp Japan has announced a couple of Aquos 8K TVs with Pure Color panels. The Sharp Aquos 8T-C70CX1 and the Sharp Aquos 8T-C60CX1 will be launched in Japan on April 25th. They arrive with a built-in BS8K tuner for 8K broadcasting and 8K broadcasting recording is enabled as well. In addition, two BS4K / 110 degree CS4K tuners and three terrestrial / BS / 110 degree CS tuners are built in, so you can enjoy 4K broadcasting and terrestrial digital broadcasting. While watching 4K broadcasting, it is also possible to simultaneously record back 4 programs of another 4K broadcasting and ground / BS / 110 degree CS broadcasting.

The Sharp Aquos 8T-C70CX1 and the Sharp Aquos 8T-C60CX1 are equipped with Sharp's 8K Pure Color panel supported by Sharp's Medalist Z1 image processing engine. The display offers a 16% wider color gamut compared to Sharp's conventional 4K TVs. In addition, this panel emits a wide range of colors in oblique directions, so you can enjoy clear images even from various viewing positions. It employs the Rich Color Technology Pro technology for expressing rich and realistic colors and supports high brightness via high transmittance by UV2A liquid crystal technology. It analyzes video signals and detects light sources and reflectors to restore brightness by partially controlling the LED backlight.

The Sharp Aquos 8T-C70CX1 and the Sharp Aquos 8T-C60CX1 are equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports for 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz video input. The TVs arrive with 8K Sports View that allows you to enjoy watching sports in a realistic way. Not only 8K broadcasting, but also digital terrestrial broadcasting and 4K broadcasting sports programs can be enjoyed with 8K detailed and sharp images. Interpolates intermediate images by predicting the movement of the subject using double-speed technology (120 Hz), and displays smooth moving images. In addition, the combination of black insertion technology, which inserts black parts while maintaining brightness, reduces blurring of visual movement and displays sharp images. The Sharp Aquos 8T-C70CX1 and the Sharp Aquos 8T-C60CX1 support HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG and have a 70W (2.2.2 CH) wide-area sound system with Eilex PRISM, a sound correction technology that captures and corrects changes in sound power in space. They are also compatible with Cocoro Vision where AI learns viewing habits and notifies recommended programs. The models run on Android 9.0 Pie for TV.
