As usual, ViewSonic releases a multitude of new monitors at once. Two of the more interesting models аре the VX27G58-2K-3 and the VX27G58-2K-2, designed to deliver speed, clarity, and immersive visuals for competitive players. The new models feature a 27-inch Fast IPS display panel with a refresh rate of up to 340Hz and 275Hz, respectively, ensuring ultra-smooth motion for fast-paced titles, and a rapid 1 ms response time, which minimizes ghosting and input lag. This combination makes these models particularly appealing to esports enthusiasts and gamers who demand precision and responsiveness.
Brightness levels reach 500 nits, while contrast is rated at 1300:1, delivering sharp detail and vibrant imagery. The monitors support HDR for enhanced dynamic range, along with 100% sRGB and 95%-98% DCI-P3 color coverage, ensuring accurate reproduction for both gaming and creative work. With 10-bit color depth (8-bit + FRC), the display can render over a billion shades, providing smoother gradients and lifelike visuals.
Connectivity options for the VX27G58-2K-2 include dual HDMI 2.0 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4, with HDMI supporting up to 144 Hz and DisplayPort unlocking the full 275 Hz capability. The VX27G58-2K-2 has two HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 input, all supporting up to 340Hz. Both models have 3.5 mm headphone jacks and a USB 2.0 Type-A port for upgrades only. The monitors are compatible with both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync, reducing screen tearing and stuttering during gameplay.
