The new Dell Alienware monitors go on pre-sale - AW5520QF, AW2720HF, AW3420DWAt the end of August, Dell announced four gaming monitors from its Alienware series, which it later showcased at the IFA 2019 in Berlin. The monitors are now launched one by one to the market. The first one is the Dell Alienware AW5520QF which features a 54.6-inch 4K UHD OLED 10-bit panel with 120Hz refresh rate and support for Adaptive-Sync. The panel has a 130,000:1 static contrast ratio, typical brightness of 400 nits and covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space. A 0.5 ms GTG response time is specified. The monitor has a number of ports including 3x HDMI 2.0 ones, 4x USB ports, a DisplayPort 1.2a, S/PDIF audio line-out and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are two 14W stereo speakers on board as well as programmable RGB lights on the back. The model will go on sale on September 30th priced at USD 4,000. The Dell Alienware AW2720HF is a 27-inch gaming monitor with an FHD IPS panel that offers 240Hz refresh rate, 350 nits typical brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio, 99% of sRGB colour space coverage, 1 ms response time with overdrive. Its stand is fully adjustable for height, tilt, swivel and pivot. It can also be removed for a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount. It is equipped with 4x USB 3.1 ports, 1x USB 3.0 port, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 2x 3.5 mm audio out jacks. The model arrives with AlienFX custom lighting, AMD FreeSync technology support, built-in cable-management, dynamic on-screen display. It costs USD 600 and can be already pre-ordered from Dell's website. The curved Dell Alienware AW3420DW gaming monitor features a 34-inch IPS display panel with Nano Color offering 98% DCI-P3 and 103.4% sRGB colour space coverage. The model has a WQHD resolution (3440 x 1440), 21:9 aspect ratio, 350 nits brightess and a 1900R curvature. Thanks to NVIDIA G-SYNC it offers a native 120Hz refresh rate. A true 2 ms grey-to-grey response time with overdrive is specified. The connectivity options of the monitor include 1x HDMI 1.4, 1x DisplayPort 1.2, 1x USB 3.0 upstream port, 2x USB 3.0 downstream ports, 2 x USB 3.0 downstream ports with 1x power charging, 1x headphone-out jack, 1 x audio line-out jack. The model arrives with custom lighting with AlienFX, dynamic on-screen display, etc. It costs USD 1,500 and can be already pre-ordered from Dell's website.
