Philips 49B2U6900CH goes official with versatile collaborative and connectivity featuresPhilips 49B2U6900CH received NRRA certification in November 2023 and now this ultra-wide business monitor is launched to the market. In many ways it resembles the Philips 49B2U5900CH, including the design, but offers a set of specifications that is a notch higher than those of the 5000-series model.

Philips 49B2U6900CH is built around a a 49-inch VA display with a super-ultra-wide QHD resolution of 5120 x 1440 px and a native refresh rate of 75Hz. The display has an 1800R curvature and supports 8-bit+FRC color bit depth for 119% sRGB and 97% NTSC coverage. The screen's maximum brightness is 450 nits for VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. 4 ms GTG response time is also specified. In addition to providing TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-free technologies, the model arrives with SoftBlue technology. It works together with the other two techs and is also tested and certified by TUV Rheinland Eyesafe. In this monitor's panel, the ratio of light is reduced by nearly 50%.

This business monitor from the Philips 6000 series is designed with everything one might need for a collaborative remote workspace. It comes with a built-in 5 MP webcam, a noise-canceling microphone, and dual 5W stereo speakers, making it perfect for working from home and collaborating remotely. The webcam is certified for Windows Hello and is equipped with advanced sensors for Windows Hello facial recognition, which conveniently logs you into your Windows devices in less than 2 seconds. The physical camera switch offers extra privacy when not in use. The noise-cancelling microphone and dual-integrated speakers deliver clear communications.

The webcam supports +/-30 degrees of tilt allowing you to find the best possible position in any situation. It also offers two new features. The first is Busylight which allows for privacy and optimal collaboration when working in a busy office setting. To transmit to others that they are busy, users can simply press the Busylight hotkey located on the bottom left menu of the monitor bezel, and the light located on the webcam will turn red. In addition to this, the Busylight feature can also sync with users' Microsoft Teams status. The second is Webcam Autoframing for multi-person video conferencing. When one or more people join the webcam view, the frame will automatically adjust and zoom to fit all team members. Likewise, when participants leave the webcam view, the frame will adjust accordingly, thereby making it ideal for long meetings as well as team calls.

Philips 49B2U6900CH has an ergonomic stand for up to 150 mm of height adjustment, +/-30 degrees of swivel, and -5 to 15 degrees of tilt. There's also a headphone hook on the left side of the monitor. The connectivity options are quite versatile and include a LAN port with Wake-on-LAN feature, two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4 input with HBR3 support, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with up to 100W power delivery and DP Alt Mode, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C donwstream port with 15W power delivery, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A downstream ports, and a 3.5 mm jack that's a mic and headphones combo.
