The AOC Q27U4D is the first model from the new AOC U4 series. The brand launched it with a total of three models, each featuring a brand-new stand design, recognized with a 2026 Red Dot Award. The display and its stand adopt a refined dual‑tone treatment that gives the entire unit a calm, modern presence. Its clean, uninterrupted surfaces help it blend naturally into professional spaces where graphic work and multimedia production take center stage. Beyond its practical functions, the AOC U4 distinguishes itself with a restrained visual identity, using a soft two‑color palette to create a polished, unobtrusive look. The L‑shaped stand supports generous four-way adjustment, making it easy to position the screen comfortably for a wide range of working setups.
The second interesting thing about the AOC Q27U4D in particular is that it has an unusual QD-OLED panel. At a 26.5-inch diagonal size and a QHD resolution, the screen delivers up to a 144Hz refresh rate - a combination not seen so far on a market-available desktop monitor. Normally, brightness measurement depends on the APL conditions. In SDR at 100% APL, the Q27U4D reaches 200 cd/m² typical brightness, while HDR at 10% APL increases brightness to 400 cd/m² typical. AGLR anti‑glare and low‑reflection treatment minimizes environmental reflections, improving visibility.
The panel supports 10‑bit output with 10.7 billion colors and covers 100% of the sRGB space with a 145% sRGB area. It also reaches 99% DCI‑P3 coverage and 110% DCI‑P3 area, making it suitable for cinema‑grade workflows. AOC factory‑calibrates the monitor to an average ΔE below 1 in sRGB mode, ensuring highly accurate color reproduction out of the box. Multiple preset color spaces, including DCI‑P3, Display‑P3, and Adobe RGB, allow users to match the display to specific professional requirements. The QD‑OLED panel carries UL TrueBright and TÜV Rheinland Flicker‑Free certification with a hardware-level low blue light solution.
The Q27U4D includes a full suite of modern connectivity: an HDMI 2.1 port with TMDS, a DisplayPort 1.4 support input, a USB Type‑C 3.2 Gen 1 with 96W power delivery for charging laptops and mobile devices, a second USB Type‑C upstream port handles data transfer, a downstream USB‑C port provides up to 15W charging, and three USB Type‑A downstream ports. A headphone jack is also included along with a pair of 5W speakers. The ergonomic stand supports height adjustment up to 150 mm, tilt from -5° to 23°, swivel from -30° to 30°, and pivot from -90° to 90°.
The AOC Q27U4D supports HDR10 and includes an HDR engine that enhances dynamic range, delivering deeper blacks and brighter highlights. Adaptive‑Sync with FreeSync compatibility eliminates tearing and stuttering during high‑frame‑rate content. Additional image‑enhancement tools include Clear Vision for improving low‑resolution scans, dark‑field control, shadow enhancement, tone adjustment, and MBR motion‑blur reduction for sharper edges during fast movement. The monitor also offers KVM functionality and auto‑rotation of the display and OSD is supported when using AOC's I‑Menu software on Windows or macOS.
