LG Display begins mass production of the 27-inch Gaming OLED with Primary RGB Tandem structure

By integrating a special film and optimizing the internal panel structure, the display blocks up to 99% of internal and external reflections, eliminating glare that could interfere with gameplay. Even under 500 lux of ambient lighting — equivalent to a well-lit living room — the display delivers vivid visuals without color distortion. This has enabled the panel to obtain certifications for Perfect Black, Perfect Color, and 100% Color Fidelity from global organizations such as UL Solutions and Intertek. LG Display already announced it has begun the mass production of this panel.
LG Display has also developed the world's first OLED monitor panel that supports a 540Hz refresh rate with QHD resolution. Traditionally, surpassing 500Hz has been considered a technical wall due to sharp image degradation. However, LG Display overcame this by implementing a new, self-developed algorithm, proving that ultra-high refresh and uncompromised picture quality can co-exist. And with LG Display's proprietary DFR (Dynamic Frequency & Resolution) technology, users can push the limits even further - up to 720Hz at HD resolution, selecting the optimal mode depending on their needs. Also, LG Display's gaming OLED delivers the fastest-in-class response time of 0.03ms. The panel achieves ClearMR 21000, the highest level of motion clarity certified by VESA.
LG Display has completed evaluations with major global brands and is set to begin mass production of the 540Hz OLED gaming panel in the second half of 2025.
