The recognition highlights the brand's continued success in merging engineering innovation with a distinctly European design philosophy.
Among this year's winners is the Philips Ambilight OLED+911, a flagship series developed in collaboration with audio specialists Bowers & Wilkins. The televisions combine reference‑grade OLED picture quality, Philips' signature Ambilight immersion and a premium integrated sound system.
Its design follows the De‑Tech philosophy, replacing aggressive, performance‑driven styling with soft geometric forms and a minimalist silhouette. A refined dark‑grey, 3D‑textured acoustic fabric wraps the Bowers & Wilkins speaker system, creating a calm, understated look that blends seamlessly into contemporary interiors.
Despite its discreet appearance, the OLED+911 delivers top‑tier performance across picture, sound and ambience. Advanced OLED processing, immersive Ambilight lighting and high‑fidelity audio work together to create a flagship home‑cinema experience concealed within a clean, modern design.

META 4.0 also introduces a major leap in anti‑reflection performance. The latest coating blocks more than 99% of reflected light, dramatically reducing glare and preserving contrast, colour fidelity and fine detail even in brightly lit rooms. Daytime viewing no longer compromises image quality - the panel maintains its strengths regardless of ambient conditions, making it far more adaptable than previous OLED generations.
The OLED+911 also supports Dolby Vision 2 Max, the most advanced version of Dolby's HDR ecosystem. This update brings a reengineered Dolby Image Engine with AI‑driven Content Intelligence that adapts Dolby content to both the characteristics of the TV and the viewing environment. Precision Black and Light Sense enhance contrast and brightness behaviour, while improved Sports and Gaming Optimisation modes sharpen clarity and motion handling. Dolby’s new Authentic Motion system — a creative‑focused motion tool - adjusts movement on a shot‑by‑shot basis to maintain cinematic smoothness without introducing artefacts.
To unlock the full potential of this display, Philips integrates its upgraded 10th‑generation P5 AI processor based on the MediaTek Pentonic 800 chipset. It refines HDR tone mapping with greater highlight precision and deeper shadow control, all while retaining subtle detail. A redesigned HDR expansion and restoration pipeline analyses each frame independently, reconstructing the content’s original luminance and aligning it with the panel’s high brightness capabilities. HDR appears more authentic, more dynamic and more tightly controlled.
Ambilight continues to define the Philips identity, and on the OLED+911 it becomes even more immersive. The four‑sided implementation pushes colour and light beyond the frame, adding depth and drawing viewers further into the image. With AmbiScape, the effect can now extend into the wider room by synchronising with external smart lighting, turning the entire space into a continuation of the on‑screen action.
Audio is another area where the OLED+911 sets itself apart. The integrated Bowers & Wilkins 3.1 system has been further refined, producing a high‑resolution, richly layered soundstage that rivals many standalone soundbars. The speakers sit within a distinctive lozenge‑shaped enclosure beneath the screen, with two enclosure sizes matched to the TV’s dimensions. The LCR layout includes dedicated left, centre and right channels, each using two new 45mm glass‑fibre mid‑range drivers and a 19mm titanium dome tweeter paired with an improved Nautilus tube. Newly developed TPE isolation mountings minimise vibration and preserve clarity.
A redesigned bass module at the rear houses a slimmer 75mm subwoofer supported by four force‑cancelling passive radiators. These use a hybrid TPE and silicone mounting system that increases rigidity while reducing resonance. The updated bass driver also contributes to a thinner chassis, reducing maximum depth from 47.3mm to just 39.9mm without sacrificing low‑frequency authority. Eight independent amplification channels deliver a total of 81 watts, each with its own processing path. Users seeking even more impact can connect an external subwoofer.
Philips has also broadened its gaming feature set. The OLED+911 includes a game bar that automatically identifies popular titles - including an expanding list of HDR10+ games - and loads previously saved settings for each one. Players can customise their preferences and store them as individual profiles, which the TV recalls on launch. A standout addition is the minimap zoom tool, allowing players to enlarge the minimap, reposition it anywhere on the screen and adjust its transparency for a tactical advantage without interrupting gameplay.
The OLED+911 also runs the newest version of TitanOS, Philips' smart TV platform, providing access to major global and regional streaming services including Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. Apple TV+ is scheduled to join the platform in summer 2026.
