Sony unveiled a 100-inch 4K HDR TV - the KD-100ZD9Sony's press conference at CES 2017 in Las Vegas is due in two days, but the company has already unveiled its current top and most expensive TV model. It is part of the ZD9 series (a.k.a. Z9D in the USA) and has a 100-inch diagonal size. Just like all other models from the series, the KD-100ZD9 incorporates the Backlight Master Drive technology, created to provide more accurate LED control by individual pixel dimming, which results in higher peak brightness and deeper blacks in HDR, where and when needed. This 4K HDR TV supports HDR10 and HEVC/VP9 decoding. It is powered by Sony's 4K Processor X1 with object-based HDR remaster for sharper and more natural imaging. Of course the OS is Android TV. The model supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 HID, Google Cast, Miracast. It has 4x HDMI inputs, 3 USB ports, two 10W built-in speakers. This huge TV set has a premium gold bezel and clever cable management that hides cables in the front and back for a cleaner overview. Prices for the model start at €70 000 in Europe.
